Present:    

                Mrs. Thom, Mrs. Nelson, Mark Pain (Active SchoolsCoordinator),                             Jordanne Cooper (P7), Kieran Barbour (P6W), Ben Miller (P6), Ellie Forbes (P5), Lauren Gordon (P4), Scott Leitch (P5/6), Caitlin McLeish (P3), Owen Gray (P3), Jake Adcock (P4/5).

 

Apologies            Shayla Henry and Casey Milne.

 

Mrs. Thom opened the meeting by welcoming the new members and introducing everyone.

Discussed what a Pupil Council Representative’s role is and had their photos taken to have displayed at the front of the school. The representative’s were informed they would receive folders which they could take to each meeting and that badges had been ordered but not yet delivered.

New Chairperson

The children voted on their new Chairsperson for this year in a secret ballot.   Jordanne Cooper received the most ballots and was officially voted in with Shayla Henry voted as Vice-Chairsperson.

Active Kids

Mark Pain advised the children of registration forms available at the office for 5 cross country runs which will be held over the year.   This is open to Primaries 5, 6 and 7. There is a sign on the Notice Board in the Gym with all the details.He also informed them of Active School Clubs running for 5 days during the October Holidays which will be held at Kincorth Sports Centre.   The Registration Forms can be obtained from the office.He was happy to announce that the P.1-P3 Active Kids at Loirston won an award last Year and that this will continue on Mondays for P1/2’s and Tuesdays for P3/4’s.

 

School Playground

Mrs Thom was asked to pass on thanks from John the Janitor for the effort all the children are making in keeping the school playground clean and tidy by putting their rubbish in the bins.

Requests from classes

Circular tables in the dinner hall – not feasible and too expensive to replace old ones.

Garage blocked off – Mrs. Thom already working on this at the moment.

Sally Henderson Memorial – suggestions for putting something in wildlife garden.

Digital cameras

We would like to thank Optima for their generosity in  donating Digital Cameras to every class in school.

Meeting closed at 2pm.
